Have you ever wondered how different your life would have been if you had access to a guide walking you through your most difficult challenges? A mentor perhaps.. unfortunately, many are not so fortunate. But then again, if you take a moment you will find there was at least one that had offered; but you just were not ready to reach up and take their hand. Maybe because it was not important at the time or maybe it just did not hurt enough?

Mentors or those that reach down to pull you or guide you on a path you might not travel on your own, many times shortening a much needed learning curve – hindsight will show they are well placed gifts in your path to making your life more rewarding.

I will never forget what now I call my first mentor, Ms. Erin White, my second grade teacher. If it not for her extra care in my studies so, I as a non-native speaking immigrant from the Philippines would probably not be sharing with you my life lessons; or for that matter, retired as a decorated Military Officer and distinguished Law Enforcement Commander.

Retired now and doing my best to pass the torch and possibly be your guide through, maybe even a mentor as you continue on what most certainly is a quest to have a healthy and financially secure life.
