Anticipated cry of the baby – healthy first breath….
Your first breath of life, your jump start, if you will, to properly use the physical body given to you through evolution or ordained through the spiritual gift of your maker. You and your spirit have arrived!
Truthfully I do not remember my first breath as I’m certain you cannot as well.. but we can all agree, this life is a gift!
Soon we will celebrate Thanksgiving! Many Americans celebrate this day as a tradition by preparing and sharing specific dishes handed down through generations in an extended family setting.
It is my hope that you belong to a family that believes in this power of sharing special times together, if so, you are truly blessed!
Unfortunately, this treasured gathering is becoming to fade in our present accepted norm. You may have noticed this through the many moments that engage each of us elsewhere chasing a societal course of behavior away from those things that truly matter; we replace what was once a meaningful experience of sharing and rejoicing in thanksgiving with one of many seemingly endless journeys to nowhere.
So I say, pause for a moment and pray for those who we know have less, share with those that we know are alone, and make that re-connection to that person that you know you will regret if they pass without knowing you still love them.
It is always the moment by moment decisions that will shape you, decide to be thankful. With suicide rates at an all-time high among all age groups, your actions could make a difference today!
